How To Share Files And Folders In Widows 7 With LAN Cable The Easiest Way

Suppose you have 2 PC's or Laptops. If you want to share minimal amount of content from your PC or Laptop to another, it is nothing matter to do with external device such as HDD, USB Flash Drive etc. But when you decide to do it in a huge quantity then it will be a hassle for you. Most of us divide the total quantity in large part and use external device to move it. They repeat the process until they finish the content transfer from one PC to another. Here, we are going to describe a way to transfer your files and folders to another PC or Laptop with a easiest way. Let's join with us.

Requirements:

• Two PC or Laptop.
• A Long (as required) LAN Cable (PC to PC).
• Basic knowledge about computing.

Installation:

At first you have to connect your both PC with the LAN cable. Insert the ends of cable to LAN port of your computers. Apply same process for both computer. (Check the Pic-01)

Now you have to go to Start  Menu>Control Panel> Network and Internet

Now click Network and Sharing Center

Then click to Change advanced sharing settings from the left menu of your screen.

Now you have to enable a few sharing option to work it properly. Turn on network discovery, file and printer sharing, permit to anyone with network access can read and write files in the public folders. Use 128 bit encryption to help protect file sharing connections and turn off password protection if you feel secure in the network. Click "Save changes" to proceed. (As in pic-05)

After setup the network and sharing option you have to go "My computer" and select the "C" drive or the drive you install your OS. Right click on it and go to the "Properties".

In Properties, you select the tab named- Sharing. You will find Advanced Sharing option under the tab. Click to open it.

Here you have to tick the "Sharing this folder" to enable the permission tab.

click "Everyone" to permit sharing and tick all check box under it. then apply the setting by clicking Apply and then Ok.

Now, choose a folder to share with your other computer. Click right button on mouse and select "Share with" option then click "Specify People" from the sub-menu to share with your desired PC/Laptop.

In File Sharing window you have to select "Guest" from the popup list and then click to "Add" button. Click "Share" to complete the process.

After that you will see that the folder is shared! Click "Done" to finish it.

Now Go to your "My Computer" and in "Network" option of left menu, you will see the shared location. Click one to see what is shared by others.
